"Jury of his peers" painted in 1988 is certainly the most puzzling of all the clown paintings done by Leighton-Jones. Are the clowns in this scene staging a trial or holding a mock court just for the fun of it? Whatever the reason, this enigmatic image is sure to provoke a lot of discussion.
