Ray Sherlock
Ray Sherlock is one of Ireland’s top caricaturists and his work is regularly seen on window display at the Gallery. Working in watercolours, Ray’s artwork features Irish musicians and politicians as well as diverse range of Irish topical subject matters. Ray is a native Dubliner. He worked in an animation studio in Bray, County Wicklow called ‘Emerald City’. It was the first complete animation studio in the country. He worked on a number of projects for TV including animations of Ben Hur, Les Mis. Ray started painting caricatures in the eighties and is now one of Ireland’s top caricaturists.
