Svetlana Ledneva-Schukina a Russian self-taught artist, who explores the beauty of Nature. This passion definitely comes from her family. Both her grandfathers were painters and therefore it is quite natural that she has inherited their abilities and thirst for the fine arts. She explores various techniques: oil, acrylic, pencil, pastels, and watercolour. Nature represents an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Landscapes, animals, colours, seasons: the scope is so broad! For Svetlana, drawing and painting should convey a feeling, an expression, an emotion. For a portrait, human or animal, she always applies that look of being alive. In a perpetual quest toward perfection she studies the artworks of great ancient masters. Balla Bán Art Gallery has a smalal collection of her minature artworks from her popular "Funny Bunnies" that were painted in 2009.
Her artworks are in private collections worldwide, mostly in Europe, North America and Australia and she is listed in the 'Register of Professional Artists — Edition of Artists Trade Union of Russia'.
