Jamie Dunne

Jamie Dunne is an artist with a richness of experience to date that guarantees a bright future as one of Ireland's Leading Artists. At the age of 11, Jamie hung & sold his first painting in the Peoples Art Exhibition in St Stephens Green with his late father Davy Dunne. Under his father's  mentor-ship Jamie developed his craft and in 2015 Jamie took the leap to be full Time Professional Artist .

Jamie's earlier work is described as vibrant, contemporary & stylized. Best known for his unique take on the Ha'penny Bridge in Dublin. Jamie is noted for his exquisite interpretation & understanding of the human figure. Today Jamie's most recent work shows a change, a more mature reflection of his experiences . 

Jamie's time spent in coastal and rural towns in have truly impacted his work. Finding the beauty in what is not always a conventional subject matter. A theme has emerged of all the beauty that Jamie see's in the traditions ingrained into the towns around the island of Ireland from the Laytown Beach Race Meeting, Arthurstown's boat wreck, to the views from the Copper Coast, Clare, Beara Peninsula, & the history of the Borris Fair.
