Irina Garmashova Cawton (minatures)
"My name is Irina Garmashova-Cawton. I was originally from St Petersburg Russia. I have been living in England since the year 2000 with my husband, son and my Ragdoll cat. I studied at the Academy Of Fine Arts of Vera Muhina in St Petersburg. This course lasted six years long years and at the end I came out with a degree as a Graphical Artist Designer. I have worked the Hermitage Museum in the Art Restoration department and my time there gave me a strong desire to paint old masters in oil, especially my favourite Peter Bruegel. I am able to paint a wide range of subjects using many different mediums. I paint landscape, botanical, still life, human subjects, animals, fantasy and abstract.
I am able to produce work in oil, watercolour, and colour pencil. At present moment I am an award winning and signature member of the UK Coloured Pencil Society where I take part in the exhibitions every year. I am also a full member of The Society Of Feline Artists where I also take part in an annual exhibition in London at the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery, Waterloo, London. I write tutorial articles for artist magazines. Signature member of the following societies: Society Of Feline Artists; UK Colour Pencil Society
