2014: GALLERY OWNER BROOKS NO ARGUMENT. July 3rd, 2014.
Gazillion-selling artist Garth Brooks may not be cashing in to the extent that he hoped now that Dublin City Council has hobbled two of his proposed five sell-out Croker shows.
And it didn't take long for other artists to get in on the act, with Frank O'Dea of Balla Bán Gallery in the Westbury Mall issuing this picture of his shop window.
"Being Ireland's smallest art gallery at only 9 square metres we have had to make difficult decisions with regards to the portraits and caricatures we can display at any one time. It is with deep regret that we have had to limit the number of paintings of Garth Brooks to just one (watercolour caricature) by Dublin artist, Ray Sherlock) for display in the gallery window. We apologise to any of his fans for this"!
